Load Shedding Alert

Provides load shedding alerts and schedules for areas where power is supplied by Eskom and Municipalities, with reminders for when load shedding will be implemented and Power Alert tweets by Eskom. This application offers comprehensive coverage for 36,150+ suburbs, with additions made regularly.

• Schedules for suburbs/areas added on the device are available offline for quicker loading.

Note: You do not have to add Suburb to view a schedule. Simply search, view, decide if you want to add to the quick view, and set reminders.

• Use your location to search for a suburb/area name and check its load shedding schedule without adding the suburb/area. Activate this feature under settings.
• Choose which alerts you would like to receive by adjusting settings.

Note: Selecting "Mute All" does not necessarily mean you will receive zero alerts. "Mute All" only applies to alert types specified under settings. Important alerts such as new Load Shedding, stage changes, or load shedding suspensions will still be received.

• Decide whether you need reminders on the suburb when adding it. "Mute All" under settings will not mute reminders for your suburb.

Viewing the schedule for an area is simple - just search. There is no need to add a suburb to view its schedule.
